Tonight was the debut of Rick's play Rock Star. I don't mean the first play he has ever directed - I mean the play he wrote. It was published last year and this year Worland Middle School produced the play. Rick has always dreamed of being a published author and this meant the world to him. The main characters are named Jodie and Ben and many of the characters were named after people in his life. No Suzanne though. What's up with that? Really! 
While Jodie really wanted to play the part of Jodie - as a first year drama student that just wasn't possible. She did get a part of a screaming girl searching for the rock star. She had a lot of fun and can't wait for next year's play.
It was a great play - the kids did a wonderful job of getting everything right. Ben and I really enjoyed the play. Good job Rick!

Way to go Rick, what an awesome accomplishment! Jodie looks like she was having a great time-maybe next time she can fight for the lead!! Hope you are all doing well-you look great
